Tales of Draeth
Arcane Archer (Prestige Class)
Your expertise with ranged weaponry and your affinity for magic has led you to experiment with fusions of the two, allowing you a frightening new ability: you are able to bind your magic into the ammunition you fire, and send your spells across the battlefield with wicked speed and accuracy. As you practice this skill, you are able to bind more powerful spells into the arrows, and your accuracy improves even further as the magic in the arrows pulls them across the battlefield and into your opponents.
The ability to cast spells

Upon taking your first level in Arcane Archer, you gain the following features:
Hit Dice: 1d6 per Arcane Archer level
Hit Points per Level: 1d6 (or 4) + CON modifier

Saving Throws: None
The Arcane Archer Features
- 1: Arcane Archery, Expanded Spellbook
- 3: Magic Missiles
You have managed to inscribe your arrows with the spells you cast. After a long rest, when you are preparing your spells for the day, you can use your Enchanter’s Knife to carve runes into your ammunition, imbuing it with the power of one of your spell slots. You may carve any spell you have prepared into the arrow. This expends the spell slot, and the arrow will hold and preserve the spell as long as it is intact or until it is fired.
When you fire the ammunition, it acts like a normal piece of that ammunition. When it hits a target, that target is affected with the spell that the arrow is imbued with and the normal damage associated with the arrow. If the spell instead specifies a target area, the target is the point of origin for that area. If a spell forces a saving throw, a target struck by the arrow automatically fails the saving throw.
Additionally, whenever you would learn a new spell, you may learn it from the Arcane Archer spell list instead.
Your practice imbuing your arrows with magic has granted you one additional spell slot of a level equal to your Arcane Archer level at each Arcane Archer level. Thus, at first level, you get one additional 1st level spell, at second level you retain the slot from before but also gain a 2nd-level spell slot, etc. This bonus spell slot may ONLY be used to imbue arrows, and can only be used on one of the spells from the Arcane Archer spell list.
Your spells seek their targets with deadly accuracy. When you fire an arrow that you have imbued with a spell, you may add your spellcasting ability modifier to the attack roll.
